Nutrition International Global Portfolio Manager, Maternal Newborn Health & Nutrition Jobs in Kenya;Provide inclusive leadership and technical oversight for the Maternal Newborn Health and Nutrition (MNHN) portfolio. Manage public health and nutrition grants, lead cross‑functional teams across Africa and Asia, and ensure projects are delivered on time, on scope and on budget.

Responsibilities

Portfolio Management

  • Establish effective project management mechanisms with HQ and regional offices.

  • Ensure program data is up to date, quality assured and available to leadership.

    Grant Management

  • Ensure grants have clear annual plans, budgets and timely implementation.

  • Deliver donor, technical and financial reports to required standards.

  • Monitor projects to meet performance targets and take corrective action.

  • Manage overall programmatic budget.

    Cross‑Unit Coordination & Representation

  • Provide capacity building on project cycle management.

  • Collaborate with Corporate Services to improve processes and tools.

  • Represent Nutrition International at partner meetings and forums.

    Resource Mobilization

  • Support development of project proposals.

    Requirements

    Education & Experience

  • Master’s degree in relevant field or significant experience in lieu.

  • 7+ years managing large, complex development programs across Asia/Africa.

  • Experience in public health/nutrition sector and health systems.

  • Experience in maternal and newborn health and nutrition programming highly valued.

  • Experience in proposal writing, donor stewardship
    and external representation.

  • Grant management experience; PMP certification an asset.

  • Strong Excel skills and ability to manage complex data.

  • Experience in matrixed team structures.

    Skills

  • Strong risk identification and mitigation ability.

  • Excellent communication, report writing and presentation skills.

  • Understanding of results‑based management and program monitoring.

  • Experience in project start‑up processes.

  • Knowledge of child safeguarding principles.

  • Fluency in English; French an asset.
