NRC Market Functionality Assessment Jobs in South Sudan

The specific objective of the study will be to: To identify appropriate response market based approaches and modalities (cash/in-kind/market support/advocacy) to meet emergency and early livelihood recovery needs of vulnerable populations in Unity State.

In doing so, the assessment will:

Identify key goods and services required by target populations (primary and secondary data) and on the basis of this, identify strategic and key value chain

Map the supply chains of key commodities and services, highlighting key market actors, relationships and capacities (current status, challenges and opportunities, level of access to necessary business support services such as financial services and transport)

Map the seasonality and demand trend of key commodities and services (current status, challenges and opportunities)

Map the various key service providers on the market (transporters, financial services, money transfer agents, agro-input suppliers, information (prices, quality, quantity, sources of products etc)

Determine the status of enablers of the market (current status, challenges and opportunities)

Identify potential partners (private, public and community based) for collaborative engagement and action

Qualification

At least Master’s degree in related field

At least 5 years’ experience in working with humanitarian sectoral programs

Demonstrated experience with quantitative and qualitative research, database management and statistical data analysis

Experience of working in South Sudan will be added advantage.
