Nova Pioneer Temporary Grade 3-6 Kiswahili Apprentice Teacher Jobs in Kenya;The Kiswahili Apprentice Teacher will deliver exceptional 21st‑Century learning experiences for students in Grades 3–6. This is an opportunity to be part of an innovative network of schools developing generations of innovators and leaders who will shape the African Century.

Key Responsibilities

  • Live Nova Pioneer values and beliefs.

  • Engage with staff, students and parents daily (7am–5pm).

  • Collaborate with resident teacher to deliver enquiry‑based lessons.

  • Co‑create a classroom environment conducive to learning and development.

  • Participate in professional growth opportunities (team meetings, coaching, PD sessions).

  • Conduct ongoing student assessments and adjust instruction accordingly.

  • Infuse joy and passion into lessons to inspire academic excellence.

  • Set and communicate ambitious goals, provide effective feedback.

  • Attend weekly feedback meetings with resident teachers and Deans.

  • Participate in collaborative teams, committees and supervision duties.

  • Coordinate and lead an after‑school co‑curricular activity.

  • Plan, implement and supervise curriculum in line with school policies.

  • Respectfully collaborate with resident teacher, resolving conflicts directly.

    Teaching

  • Lead 20–30% of core content lessons.

  • Supervise students when not leading lessons.

  • Manage student behavior and follow up on persistent issues.

  • Provide accommodations and modifications for student success.

  • Give feedback to curriculum design team on lessons and units.

    Administration

  • Keep classroom neat and tidy.

  • Prepare lesson materials with resident teacher.

  • Collaborate on parent communication and conferences.

  • Fulfil rotation duties (arrival, lunch, playtime, dismissal).

  • Document and display student work.

    About You

    Skills & Qualifications Required

  • Valid TSC certificate.

  • Relevant degree in Education / P1 Diploma / P1 Certificate.

  • Minimum 1–2 years teaching experience.

  • Proficiency in Word, PowerPoint and Excel.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Flexible and open to change, able to handle complexity.

  • Proactive problem solver with thorough approach.

  • Excited about Nova Pioneer’s culture, embracing feedback and growth.

  • Desire to develop leadership skills and transform lives of African youth.
