Responsibilities

  • Model and live the Nova Pioneer Culture.
    Help the team to be more productive and efficient through management and delivery of all round- regional, physical, personnel and students’ security and emergency management requirements.
  • Serve as a main point of contact for any security/safety issues.
  • Provide a linkage to other business units with government and county authorities.
  • Maintain accurate record of security personnel
    Complete weekly and monthly reports for management by recording observations, information, occurrences, and surveillance activities, including any change of security personnel.
  • Maintain an updated and accurate matrix of guards on duty including reporting times, contact details, posting location, rotations, historical record of incidents.
  • Investigate, report and track all safety, security and risk management related issues.
  • Conduct regular risk assessment analysis, develop and update security policies, evacuation procedure, and crisis management plans.
  • Develop and facilitate security and safety training in view of increasing safety, security and risk management capacity.
  • Maintain compliance with all legal requirements (including fire safety).
  • Provide regular advice and counsel to management on matters relating to employee and property safety and security.

    Qualifications

  • You have a diploma/ Degree in Business/Security related studies. Preference is for an ex-police or army officer.
  • You have a minimum of 5-8 years working experience in managing security in a busy institution.
  • You have a strong track record of Demonstrated leadership in development and implementation of a security management plan.
  • You demonstrate capacity to analyze complex situations, solve problems and manage change.
  • You are able to create security processes, policies and procedures
  • You are conversant with the use of high-tech security systems and possess know-how in CCTV control rooms.
  • You are able to do reports on maintenance and tenancy issues.
  • You have the ability to use ICT tools and office packages (word, excel, power point, outlook etc.)
  • You have the ability to exercise discretion in handling sensitive matters
  • You have a clean record as indicated by a genuine police clearance certificate.
  • You have general knowledge of Kenyan laws and Government Regulations pertaining to law enforcement.

    Responsibilities

  • The Campus Ops Associate is responsible for assisting or directing the planning, development and implementation of duties and projects related to Pre-Primary and Primary School Academic Systems, Sports Activities, Transport, Meal Services, Educational Technology, Library, IT Services, Facilities Management, Procurement and Finance and Administration.
  • Ensuring that support services are provided in an efficient and effective manner so that the school is better equipped to meet the students learning and social needs.
  • Assist with implementation of any and all initiatives put forth by Operations team.
    Leads and/or provides support in the execution of projects related to school goals - renovation, construction, new policies/systems, etc.
    Ensures smooth campus operations (including evening and weekend activities) by liaising closely with resident teaching staff and operations team.
  • Supports in the successful running of various aspects of school operations - Library, Student
  • Support Services, Kitchen operations, Sports Activities, etc.

    Qualifications

  • A minimum of 4 years of related work experience preferably in business operations, project management, marketing, event management and/or finance operations.
  • At least 1-2 years spent in a supervisory/leadership role demonstrating progressive responsibility.
  • Superior problem solving and planning skills.
    Highly developed organizational, communication and presentation skills.
  • A high degree of computer literacy.
  • Superior interpersonal skills as demonstrated by the ability to form professional relationships at all levels the organization and with appropriate external stakeholders.

    Nova Pioneer Driver/Mechanic Jobs Opportunities in Kenya

    Drivers Responsibilities

  • Operate
    the school motor vehicle in a safe and efficient way according to all relevant legislation, policies and procedures.
  • Ensure that “door to door” policy for dropping and picking of pupils is maintained.
  • Follow planned route on a time schedule
    Work together with the bus assistant in maintaining order in the bus.
  • Observe speed limits and all other road signs
    Fuel allocated vehicle as per fueling schedule.
  • Drive pupils to educational trips, sports activities and any other school activity in a safe manner.
  • Document actual mileage, timings and destination in the vehicle movement book before commencement of any trip.
  • Undertake daily routine checks for tyres, oil, radiator coolant and lights.
  • Notify Transport Manager of any accident/incident immediately.
  • Ensure the allocated school motor vehicle is kept clean on daily basis.
  • Ensure the school motor vehicle is safely and securely parked on campus and when on trips.
  • Ensure that all pupils on route are on board before journey start.
  • Ensure all on board are aware of rules and responsibilities as passengers
  • Maintain order and discipline in the school motor vehicle.

    Mechanic Responsibilities

  • Diagnosis of malfunctions and troubleshooting:
  • Establish the nature of motor vehicle mechanical problems being experienced, track their frequency and any other unusual occurrences.
  • Conduct inspections and test-drives to establish the cause of the mechanical problems and thereafter to confirm that they have been resolved.
  • Undertake or supervise the repair of mechanical repairs on all school motor vehicles:

    Qualifications

  • Diploma in Auto-mechanical engineering from a recognized institution.
  • Knowledge of highway code and school bus regulations.
  • Possess a PSV License.
  • Possess a BCE- Class Driving License for more than 8 years.
  • Must Possess a recent (not older than 6 months) Certificate of Good Conduct.
  • Recommendation from previous employers.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience with school bus transportation.
  • Ability to operate a school bus in a safe and responsible manner.
  • Client service and public interaction skills.
    Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective verbal and listening communications skills.

    Responsibilities

  • Account for every student who is to board or alight from the bus in accordance with the boarding sheet.
  • Ensure that all students are seated and have fastened their seat-belts before commencement of every journey and hand them to the designated guardian both in school and at home.
  • Convey any feedback/comment/enquiry from parents or guardians to the Transport Manager.
  • Deliver any documents or medication and convey dosage instructions that may have been given by a student’s parent /guardian to the School Nurse.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned on behalf of the organization including running errands, transporting staff and ferrying students to the hospital for emergency cases.

    Qualifications

  • Certificate in customer care will be an added advantage.
  • Ability to work, monitor and assist young children while on the bus.
  • Must possess a recent (not older than 6 months) Certificate of Good Conduct.
