Nova Pioneer Grade 10 Mathematics/ Physics Resident Teacher (Athi River School) Jobs in Kenya ;The Resident Teacher will deliver exceptional, real‑world, enquiry‑based Mathematics and Physics lessons aligned with the Kenya curriculum requirements. The role emphasizes student engagement, mastery of content, and integration of interactive technology to enhance instructional delivery.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Teach and deliver Mathematics/Physics lessons aligned with Kenya curriculum.

  • Maintain positive, constructive and professional relationships with students, families and colleagues.

  • Develop lesson plans and collaborate with Learning Design Team to review and update lessons.

  • Create a classroom environment conducive to learning and development.

  • Infuse joy and passion for learning to excite students about academic excellence.

  • Provide accommodations and modifications for student growth and success.

  • Be accountable for students’ mastery of content and academic standards.

  • Integrate interactive technology into lessons.

  • Set and communicate rigorous goals and provide effective feedback.

  • Provide consistent rewards/consequences for student behavior and model expected conduct.

  • Meet ambitious goals of a rapidly‑growing organization.

  • Serve as teacher on duty and/or boarding teacher on duty, supporting school‑wide programs.

  • Capture student data on academic outcomes
    and articulate progress to families and stakeholders.

  • Serve as homeroom teacher when required.

    About You

  • TSC certification required.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education (Science), qualified to teach two subjects.

  • Minimum grade of C+ in teaching subjects and KCSE.

  • Minimum 3 years’ teaching experience in Mathematics/Physics.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Flexible, open to change, able to handle uncertainty and complexity.

  • Strong problem‑solving skills, proactive in addressing issues.

  • Excited about Nova’s culture of feedback and mutual vulnerability.
