Norwegian Refugee Council Project Assistant- Water Trucking- Uganda Nationals Only Vacancies in Uganda

Job description

In close guidance from the Project Officer – Engineering, ensure the monitoring of the water trucking operation, this includes water delivery to each sites from its production source.

Ensure all water trucking drivers follow the agreed root to deliver water in good time, report immediately to the Project Officer - Engineering on any irregularity in this regard.

Ensure all documentations is counter signed by the designated and responsible persons, this include refugee’s representatives.

Ensure quality of water delivered to the beneficiaries.

Carry out regular physical and FRS test and report to the Project Officer - Engineering.

Make sure all monitoring formats completed and signed off by counter

Supervise masons, contractors and unskilled labourers during repairs and construction of WASH related facilities (water tap-stands, valve chambers, operator sheds, pipe installations & repairs and other water works).

Tracking construction materials supplied and utilized during construction

Qualifications

A Degree or Diploma in Water Engineering. A minimum of Three to five years proven experience in either relief or development Organizations including managing a large scale Community based water

project with evidence of successful implementation of similar projects

Good experience in supervising, training, and coaching staff.

Good understanding of SPHERE and other international standards.

Proficiency in MS Office software.

assets to this job.
