Norwegian Church Aid Head of Mission Jobs in Zambia



Norwegian Church Aid Head of Mission Jobs in Zambia; NCA is seeking an accomplished leader with a passion for social justice, civil society strengthening, and sustainable development to serve as Head of Mission in Zambia. Reporting to the Area Director for Malawi and Zambia, the Head of Mission will provide overall leadership of NCA Zambia in Lusaka, with responsibility for external representation, donor engagement, fundraising, strategy implementation, and management of all staff.

Responsibilities and Tasks

  • Provide strategic leadership and direction for NCA Zambia.

  • Lead fundraising, donor engagement, and resource mobilisation.

  • Represent NCA with government, donors, churches, and civil society.

  • Lead and develop a high‑performing national team.

  • Ensure sound operational management, compliance, and security oversight.

    Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in relevant field; significant experience may compensate.

  • Minimum 7 years’ senior leadership experience.

  • Proven fundraising and donor relationship management experience.

  • Experience leading multidisciplinary teams.

  • Experience building civil society‑private sector partnerships in extractives, food security, agriculture, and climate stewardship desirable.

  • Experience partnering with Government of Zambia to design and scale programmes addressing poverty and inequality desirable.

  • Excellent English communication skills; fluency in
    local languages desirable.

    Eligibility
