Nonviolent Peaceforce (NP) envisions a worldwide culture of peace where conflicts within and between communities and nations are managed through nonviolent means.

NP is a global civil society organisation that works with people affected by violent conflicts to enhance their security and dignity through unarmed civilian protection (UCP) and by helping to transform the world’s response to conflict situations

In South Sudan, NP has 11 field teams providing thematically focused protection programming in child protection, women’s participation and protection, displacement (IDPs & refugees), inter-communal violence reduction and conflict early warning/early response).

This young country programme is growing rapidly responding to the dynamic, high needs environment in South Sudan.

We are looking for a Finance Controller who has solid finance management experience and an understanding of operating in a complex conflict environment to Support NP’s largest country programme in South Sudan.

As Finance Controller of this dynamic country programme you will be responsible for providing cash management that deepens our impact and
expands our work.

The Finance Controller shall be responsible for overall financial management, for the Nonviolent Peaceforce Financial Accounting, funds Management, Cash forecasting, funds transfer to the Field Sites, closure of Monthly Financial Books in a Timely Manner, and other finance responsibilities with Nonviolent Peaceforce (NP) in South Sudan.

The NP Finance Department ensures compliance with donor regulations as well as Nonviolent Peaceforce internal policies and procedures.

In its role as a support to the Programs and other Departments, the Finance Department provides timely reports and assistance to all departments, senior management and HQ to ensure that financial resources are used efficiently and effectively.
