NIRAS International Consulting Procurement Expert, Water Supply and Sanitation, Malakal and Renk County Council Jobs in South Sudan

The Government of the Republic of South Sudan (GRSS) has received a Grant from the African Development Bank toward the cost of the Strategic Water Supply and Sanitation Improvement Project (SWSSIP), and intends to apply part of the agreed amount for this Grant shall be used for payments under the contract for Consultancy services for feasibility studies and detailed, engineering designs for improvement and expansion of water supply system and distribution network at Malakal and Renk County Council.

The services under this project include the following:

Reviews and Baseline Studies;

Water Resources Assessment;

Feasibility Studies and Pre-design Phase; a

Detailed Engineering Designs.

Qualifications Required

Only the experts meeting the set criteria will be shortlisted and contacted.

Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or equivalent.

Professional Experience Required

He/she must have a minimum of 15 years overall experience; International working experience of min. 10 years.

Experience and interest in working (short time missions) in remote and unstable locations

Minimum 10 years relevant experience in procurement and/or contract management of water infrastructure projects.

At least 3 projects for/including preparation of FIDIC Yellow Book works tender documentations for water/waste water treatment infrastructure.

He/she must have a good knowledge of procedures and rules of procurement of AfDB proven by participation in minimum 2 works tender evaluations.

Experience in developing countries will be an advantage.

Good command of written and spoken English.
