Tasks

To supervise and support the use of SAP, facilitate business process improvements, coordinate incident/problem management, proffer SAP Solution designs, ensure system stability and full integration, and to embed SAP Solution ownership within the Finance Solution Suite, SAP Finance, Controlling FICO Business Planning and Consolidation BPC Funds and Treasury Management FM and TM Cost and Profitability Analysis (COPA) in NLNG and the Group.

Requirements

A BSc. degree in Finance or Social Science related discipline.

SAP Finance certifications and a recognized professional accounting qualification would be an additional advantage.

Minimum of 5 years post - graduation working experience, out of which a minimum of 3 years’ experience should have been spent handling similar responsibilities in the oil and gas industry or in a professional Accounting firm or related industry.

Knowledge of finance business processes, Experience in the use of accounting software packages, Microsoft Office applications, Data manipulation applications such as Access, Oracle, etc. is also an added advantage.

Main SAP Accountabilities:

Provide SAP technical advisory functions to the Finance Business, coordinate the gathering of fresh business requirements, change request management, Functional/Integration/Regression and User Acceptance testing for all improvements and enhancements to the Solution.

Ensure the effective integration of the SAP Finance solution suite with all other SAP modules and third-party applications within NLNG’s SAP Landscape, to enhance solution stability, data integrity and business process improvement.

Provide support to the SAP Technical Team on patches, enhancements and upgrades through testing generating use cases and troubleshooting base functionalities within specific disciplines, as well as for

new requirements.

Ensure adequate reporting and analytics of the SAP Finance Solution Suite for insights and business decision making including periodic (monthly, quarterly and annual) closing reporting support.

Accountabilities in the Business

Champion the identification and bringing into the SAP Solution all other Finance processes/ functions/ activities not yet in SAP by eliminating all manual interventions or other solutions not integrated with SAP.

Co-ordinate the embedding, adoption and extensive use of the SAP Solution in the business by driving users adoption and knowledge transfer activities through ensuring prompt resolution of all issues from the support desk on Finance Solution Suite and associated interfaces

This ensures that NLNG has the required knowledge base including continually provide second level support within the Finance Discipline.
