NIC Bank Products Manager Jobs in Kenya


Job Purpose

The role holder will be responsible for supporting SME and Digital Business in Strategy execution, Product Management, Product Performance and Profitability Analysis as well as Product process alignment and governance.

The role holder will also ensure positioning the SME products suite for sustainable growth in transactional banking and digital business.

Responsibilities

Strategic Product Planning and Management

  • Optimize revenue across all SME products
  • Manage the SME Transaction accounts portfolio
  • Develop strong current and savings product propositions in terms of Features and benefits targeted to SME clients.
  • Strategize and continuously broaden product offerings to enhance the “share of wallet” of customers.
  • Develop innovations to support collection capability to ensure NIC are main banker for target SME clients

    Business Acquisition

  • Create formal and informal feedback systems to analyze the SME product performance.
  • Provide feedback of quality of sourcing of SME products.
  • Support all sales efforts by the RM teams to be the “Best in the Market” in terms of
  • In-branch/Indirect acquisition model
  • Portfolio management
  • Digital acquisition models
  • Review, analyze and manage the customer portfolio for profitable growth.
  • Have in place strategies that ensure that the bank is growing in the right space.
  • Develop and co-ordinate marketing and distribution strategy for products under this category. Plan and manage
    marketing and promotional initiatives for the acquisition of new SME business

    Bottom Line Focus

  • Maximize net interest income from the portfolio.
  • Manage and grow the non-funded income line and minimize revenue leakage for SME business.
  • Digitize processes to minimize costs
    Operations & Compliance 10%
  • Control and periodically check operational risks and workflow
  • Develop robust customer centric processes that improve the turnaround time of service delivery

    Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a business related field
  • A master’s degree is an added advantage
  • 6 year’s banking experience or equivalent, to include a minimum of 2 years in a product management role.
  • Innovation and change management:- A passion for digital led solutions to address business challenges
  • Knowledge of Banking and Business Operations: Good understanding of credit risk procedures, guidelines and risk appetite frameworks
  • Risk Management skills: Ability to anticipate and mitigate risk associated with new products, processes, and procedures.
  • Good decision making and problem solving skills:-ability to think creatively conceptually and systematically
    to consider the wider consequences of each decision and deliver creative solutions for new products and services.

    Job Purpose

    To drive

    retail strategy through a robust scorecard regime that covers all units of performance and develop analytics that support Customer-Lifetime-Management.

    To champion the retail banking data agenda with a view of data asset value maximization and Support automation of retail performance reports.

    Responsibilities

    Retail Strategy

  • Driving the retail strategy through a robust branch performance model to assist in determining appropriate strategies to be implemented for each region, branch and role.
  • Creating and maintaining weighted scorecards score card that will aid in driving our performance and are aligned to business objectives.

    Customer Life Management

  • Driving retail Customer-Lifetime-Management analytics by:
  • Building cross-sell and relationship deepening models,
  • Performing customer segmentation & profiling,
  • Designing and delivery of initiatives aligned to target market segments and lifecycle stage, production of monitoring reports on the performance of CLM campaigns.
  • Prepare a leads list that will be used by branches to actively migrate customers to segments that suit their profile.

    Data value maximization and Report Automation.

  • Championing the Retail data agenda by: reviewing the data ware house governance and structure to ensure the data meets and serves business needs.
  • Supporting the digital business MI needs and position it for growth by amongst others; reviewing and maintaining the decisioning scorecards, generating and maintaining digital business trackers.
  • Supporting in automation of retail performance reports.
  • Through regular trainings, aligning frontline to achieve desirable productivity.

    Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a business related field
  • A master’s degree is an added advantage
  • 6 year’s banking experience or equivalent, to include a minimum of 3 years in a business analysis role.
  • Working Knowledge of predictive analytics & modelling
  • Working experience on major business intelligence tools such as R-GUI, R, SAS, Business Objects, Cognos, Brio Query, Access, MS Excel and SQL
  • Strong Analytical skills
  • Proficiency in computer use & keyboarding speed and excellent presentational skills.
  • A keen eye for detail, quality conscious and has a strong sense of responsibility and ownership
  • Sound Business knowledge
  • Basic understanding of Relational Database Management Systems
