The National Hospital Insurance Fund (NHIF) is a State Corporation established under the NHIF Act No.9 of 1998 whose mission is to contribute towards Universal Health Coverage in the provision of affordable, accessible, sustainable and quality health insurance through strategic resource pooling and healthcare purchasing in collaboration with stakeholders.

The National Hospital Insurance Fund has adopted a new organizational structure aimed at enhancing effectiveness in meeting its corporate objectives and appropriateness in delivery of its mandate in line with devolved policy strategy.

Towards this end, NHIF is seeking the services of a Communication and PR Consultant whose main aim will be to anticipate, analyze and interpret public opinion, attitudes and issues that might impact, for the good or ill, the operations and plans of NHIF while counselling management with regard to policy decisions courses of action and communication, taking into account their public implications in line with the Fund's responsibility to Kenyans. 2.0

Objectives of the Assignment

Developing and delivering effective internal communications that will aid customer satisfaction and organizational reputation.

Ensure that corporate identity standards are managed through provisions of advice/guidance on sustainable brand/reputation management Effectively manage media and public relations to ensure the Fund's visibility and presence is felt To effectively manage and handle emerging issues and crisis to guard brand reputation.

The Fund needs the agency to be on high alert on social media engagements since they drive conversations online that could damage the brand's reputation. Measurement of the agency's performance is linked to the activities mapped out by the Fund. Evaluation is a key component of the work
