Purpose of Job:Qualifications:To ensure the reliability and maintainability of new and modified installations of machinery is as required.
At least a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering and relevant experience in the cement factory.
Experience:
Special Requirements:
At least 5 years practical experience in a a similar position within a cement factory or process manufacturing;
Mechanical engineering experience;
High level of integrity and Leadership skills an asset management;
Experience in handling machinery related performance tests and analysis of reliability
Ability to scan and detect possible flows in the daily operations of the plant machinery
Excellent managerial and interpersonal skills to Maintain and Improve the factory performance
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
Skills transfer to lower employees
Ability to work under tight deadlines and pressure;
Good reporting skills
High level of English proficiency (in Reading; Writing & Speaking)
Key Outputs:
To participate in the development of design and installation specification along with commissioning plans, participate in the development of criteria for and evaluation of equipment and technical MRO supplies and technical maintenance services providers. Develop acceptance tests and inspection criteria.
To participate in the final checkout of new installations. This includes factory and site acceptance testing that will assure adherence to functional specifications.
To guide efforts to ensure reliability and maintainability of equipment, processes, utilities, facilities, control and safety/security systems;
To professionally and systematically define, design, develop, monitor and refine an asset Maintenance Plan that includes: Value added preventive maintenance tasks;
To ensure effective utilization predictive and other non-destructive testing methodologies designed to identify and isolate inherent reliability problems;
To provide inputs to a risk management plan that will anticipate reliability-related and non- reliability-related risks that could adversely impact plant operation

To develop engineering solutions to repetitive failures and all other problems that adversely affect plant operations. These problems include capacity, quality, cost or regulatory compliance issues
To apply data analysis techniques that can include:
Statistical process control
Reliability modelling and prediction
Fault Tree analysis
Weibull Tree Analysis
Six sigma (60) methodology
Root-cause and Root-Cause Failure Analysis( RCA, RCFA)
Failure Reporting, Analysis and Corrective Action System (FRACAS);
Works with production to perform analyses of assets including:
Asset utilization
Overall equipment effectiveness
Remaining useful life
Other parameters that define operating condition. Reliability and costs of assets.
To provide technical support to production, maintenance management and technical personnel;
To apply values analysis to repair/replace, repair/redesign and make/buy decisions;
Carry out zealously with loyalty and faithfulness all the entrusted duties and go wherever our company needs his services;
Do his/her utmost to use and keep safely the material given to him/her ;
Devote his/her time subject to the rules in force to the services of the employer;
Abstain from disclosing any confidential information for the duration of the present contract and during the two years following its expiry;
Accept all the rules and regulations governing labor in Rwanda;
Not to carry out any activity or business competing or threatening the Employer’s daily activities
Any other task related to his portfolio as it may be assigned by his line manager
