News Video Editor Jobs in Nairobi, Kenya

Our client is seeking to recruit a hard-working, detail- oriented News Video Editor with deep understanding of Kenya culture, residents’ preferences, social media and understands the video trends and video style that are popular in Kenya.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the daily work of video content editing, including video editing, title writing, review, push, etc.
  • The Operation of social media accounts, responsible for publishing content, planning activities, maintaining followers etc.
  • Generate story ideas from social discussions that are engaging and exciting
  • Research on the Client News Users needs and align the video strategy to it

    Qualifications and Experience
  • Minimum of bachelor’s degree in media related field.
  • Proficient in English; more than 1 year in broadcasting journalism or informative short video production;
  • Familiar with hard news field and concentrate on any of trending news/entertainment/sports; always sensitive to hot topics in social media
  • Experience in independently exacting core information of a story and able to write script/informative subtitles
  • Skilled in using video editing software such as Final Cut Pro, Adobe Premiere, etc., with professional video editing capabilities, such as mastering visual language in arranging footage, image, sound, plot with logic & knowing how to attract and hook audience in a short video
  • High degree of cooperation, strong sense of time management, multinational team communication and coordination, teamwork and execution ability
  • Skilled in using After Effect and ability of shooting/interviewing/anchoring is an added Advantage.
  • Flexible to report on short notice.
