Job Description

New Millennium Hope Development Organization (NMHDO) is a nongovernmental, non profitable and non-partisan Resident Charity Organizations that is working to ensure the orphans and vulnerable children, destitute girls and women’s have access to basic services through working closely with communities, local administration, and community based organizations, non-governmental and governmental organizations and other stakeholders. Currently, NMHDO is looking for qualified applicants for the following vacant position.

Duties and Responsibilities of the Finance Officer

Work closely with the Executive Director and Programme Area Finance and to ensure that reports are prepared, reviewed, updated and recorded in a timely, organized and accurate manner, in compliance with relevant donor requirements;

Provide functional direction

Develop and establish sound accounting system

Organize and maintain Accounting records

Produce financial statements

Establish well organized Budgetary control system

Develop and

implement payment procedures for salaries, expenditures

Provide sound materials purchases, and stock control

Advice management on financial matters , project evaluation etc.

Terms of Employment : One year with a possibility of extension based on availability of funds and performance

Job Requirements

Minimum Job Requirements Gender and Social inclusion expert:

BA in Accounting

5 years experience with similar position

NGO experience is mandatory

Expertise in gender is bonus

Potential and willingness to develop strong training and facilitation skills

Strong determination to work for women, children and other vulnerable community members

Willingness to spend significant time in the project areas
