Job Description

New Flower General Trading P.L.C has engaged in the different business ventures of manufacturing, import, export and construction areas. Our company is looking for Operation Officer to assist the operational areas.

Basic Roles and Functions

  • Confer with supervisory personnel owners, contractors, and design professionals to discuss and resolve matters such as work procedures complaints and construction problems

  • Inspect and review projects to monitor compliance with building and safety codes and other regulations

  • Interpret and explain plans and contract terms to administrative staff, workers and clients, representing the owner or developer

  • Plan, organize, and direct activities concerned with the construction and maintenance of structure, facilities, and systems

  • Prepare and submit budget estimates and progress and cost tracking reports

  • Prepare contracts and negotiate revisions, changes and additions to contractual agreements with architects consultants clients suppliers and subcontractors

  • Schedule the project in logical steps and budget time required to meet deadlines

  • Select contract, and oversee workers who complete specific pieces of the project such as painting or plumbing

  • Overseeing the logistical requirements of a project

  • Delegating work to colleagues within your team

  • Meeting regularly with clients, third parties and other managers to report on progress

  • Setting targets, objectives and responsibilities for all supervised staff

  • Regularly reviewing timings, budget, labor, risk and project plans to ensure work stays on track

  • Setting and agreeing budgets

  • Conducting site visits to inspect work, check materials and ensure staff are following health and safety guidelines

  • Dealing with contracts and mitigating the impact of any issues

  • Ensuring the delivery of high-quality work within contract timescales

  • Working in an office and on a construction site.

    Detailed Duties and Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other specialists, and hire full-time and part-time subcontractors and laborers, and coordinate their schedules

  • Attend coordination
    and progress meetings; make regular trips to sites during construction including bid walks, preconstruction walks, in-progress site visits, punch walks, and construction closeout

  • Conduct and document quality assurance and safety inspections throughout the construction process, assuring working environment is maintained at acceptable levels, and tools and equipment are in good working condition

  • Respond to work delays, emergencies, and other project disruptions

  • Meeting with engineers, architects, and contractors on an ongoing basis regarding project objectives and progress.

  • Managing and motivating site foremen and teams.

  • Ensuring all equipment needed is available on site.

  • Ensuring budget costs relating to wages, contractors, materials, and equipment aren’t exceeded.

  • Approving purchase requests.

  • Ensuring the construction process starts and ends on time and ensuring daily and weekly deadlines are met.

  • Ensuring compliance with health, safety, and all other regulations.

  • Conducting ongoing quality inspections.

  • Executing any other tasks assigned by an immediate supervisor or senior managers.

    Requirements

  • Educational qualification: B.A in Civil Engineering from recognized university.

  • Minimum of 7 years’ relevant work Experience.

  • Applicants should have a direct work exposures or experiences on building works, warehousing, real states or factory plant works.
