Nema Strategy and Planning Officer Jobs in Kenya

National Environment Management Authority (NEMA), established under the Environmental Management and Coordination Act (EMCA) No. 8 of 1999 is mandated to exercise general supervision and coordination over all matters relating to the
environment in Kenya; and to be the Principal Instrument of Government in the implementation of all policies relating to the environment.

The Authority invites applications from qualified and experienced candidates for the following vacant positions: Strategy and Planning Officer.

This is the entry & training grade for graduates in this cadre. An officer at this level
will work under the guidance & supervision of a Senior Officer.

Job specifications

Duties and responsibilities will include but not limited to:

Preparing monthly and quarterly progress reports;

Participating in development and review of the strategic plan;

Participating in preparation of the performance contract, annual work plan and Budgets;

Compiling and analyzing data from directorates/departments and field offices to facilitate performance review;

Compiling monthly performance data for monitoring of the implementation of Performance Contract and strategic plan.

Requirements for appointment

For appointment to this grade a Candidate must have:

Bachelor’s degree in any of the following fields; Economics, Statistics, Project Management, Development studies, Business Administration, Monitoring and Evaluation or any other relevant qualifications from a recognized institution;

Proficiency in computer applications;

Fulfilled the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution.
