Duties and Responsibilities
  • Develop, maintain and update registry, records and archives policy, database,
    manual and other systems;
  • Supervise the maintenance of active and semi-active records following the
    retention schedule and provenience standard;
  • Receive and classify documents and other records and maintain an inventory
    of records users;
  • Develop a file retrieval and tracking system;
  • Create and close files, replace old files and update registers in line with the
    filing procedures and the records manual.
  • Maintain a schedule for and carry out file weeding as well as transfer record
    for archiving;
  • Monitor receipt, classification schemes and the dispatch of mail to respective
    destinations; and
  • Perform any other duties as may be assigned.

    Person Specifications

    Qualifications:
  • An honors Bachelor’s degree in the relevant field of Library and Information Science, Records and Archives Management

    Competences and Skills:
  • Ability to work as a team;
  • High level of integrity;
  • Interpersonal skills and communication skills;
  • Reporting skills;
  • Timelines and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously;
  • Computer literacy.
