Nema Quantity Surveyor Jobs in Kenya

National Environment Management Authority (NEMA), established under the Environmental Management and Coordination Act (EMCA) No. 8 of 1999 is mandated to exercise general supervision and coordination over all matters relating to the
environment in Kenya; and to be the Principal Instrument of Government in the implementation of all policies relating to the environment.

The Authority invites applications from qualified and experienced candidates for the following vacant positions: Quantity Surveyor.

This is the entry and training grade for this cadre. An officer at this level will work under the guidance & supervision of a senior officer.

Responsibility

Checking drawings submitted to the Authority

Costing bills of quantities for projects submitted for Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) licencing to establish real cost

Working closely with inspection and monitoring teams to develop bills of quantities for sites requiring rehabilitation.

Costing bills of quantities for NEMA projects and supervising contractors.

Job Requirements

Bachelor of Science (Bsc) degree in either Quantity Surveying or B.A Building Economics or any other relevant field from a recognzed institution.

Proficiency in Computer applications.

Relevant Working Experience will be an added advantage.
