Job Purpose

  • To source new international investment business to grow assets under management, both from own direct clients and to assist the broader Region in meeting their International Growth Targets.

    Job Responsibilities

  • Utilising own networks and contacts to generate international investment and lending business.

  • Target other business units within Nedbank to source investments and lending leads and promote cross-sell.

  • Provide specialist support for Wealth Managers within Durban office to assist in landing new business, facilitating effective management of existing clients and improving client retention.

  • Presenting at forums of potential clients and lead providers for business development.

  • Regular interaction with Investment Management Team (Nedgroup Investments) in providing inputs for the construction of international model portfolios which meet the needs of clients.

  • Participation in Regional Deal Forums to ensure that client Financila Proposals are aligned with the business "house view', meet the requirements of best advice and ensure quality control.

  • Training of Wealth Managers in International Investment offering, including ongoing updates.

  • Implementation and rebalancing of international segregated portfolios in line with model portfolios utilising investment mangement software.

  • Liaise with Nedgroup Trust business in Guernsey and Jersey with regard to the management of International Trust client portfolios.

  • Input into Regional Business Strategy with regard to achievement of internation targets.

  • Regular interaction with international teams in other Regional SA offices to share ideas and drive initiatives throughout the business.

  • Liasing with Nedbank Private Wealth's International team (Isle of Man, UK, Jersey) to promote operational efficiencies for SA clients investing internationally.

  • Remaining up to date with changes to local and international
    tax legislation and regulatory requirements, thereby ensuring advice on client structuring is effective and relevant.

  • Rund with adhoc projects aimed at improving efficiencies and revenue. e.g. re-mandating clients to clean priced funds in line with RDR, weaning out below minimum accounts, etc.

  • Ensuring the availability of reliable and secure knowledge; information and data throughout the Service Lifecycle.

  • Use; establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees; including external stakeholders; through the use of customer service skills.

  • Meet client needs by sending necessary communications to the targeted audience

    Essential Qualifications

  • NQF Level

  • Matric / Grade 12 / National Senior Certificate

  • National Certificates and Occupational Awards

    Preferred Qualification

  • Relevant undergraduate degree (B.Com / B.BusSci / LLB)

  • Postgraduate CFP or International equivalent
    Regulatory FAIS Exams (RE5) - non:negotiable
