    Job Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the financial management function.

  • Drive achievement of revenue and market share targets.

  • Manage design and implementation of processes, systems, and controls.

  • Ensure portfolio efficiency, productivity, and sustainability.

  • Align business unit performance with Nedbank Group strategic objectives.

  • Develop and share BU performance analytics and insights.

  • Deliver service to clients by meeting expectations.

  • Build and maintain strong client relationships through engagement and knowledge sharing.

  • Ensure prudent credit granting throughout the economic cycle.

  • Build relationships with external stakeholders through feedback and knowledge sharing.

  • Provide proactive credit performance information to internal stakeholders.

  • Optimise efficiency and embed best practices.

  • Manage performance of direct reports and hold them accountable.

  • Maintain a high‑performing team through talent identification, retention, and development.

  • Mentor and coach managers to build depth of skills and knowledge.

  • Encourage constructive debates to improve work practices and reduce costs.

  • Contribute to transformation goals and culture‑building initiatives.

  • Ensure recruitment, retention, and training processes meet transformational targets.

  • Support corporate social responsibility initiatives (e.g., Green Strategy).

  • Address issues raised in culture surveys and improve results.

  • Deliver world‑class service by
    fostering a client‑centric culture.

  • Identify resource inefficiencies and promote optimisation through multi‑skilling.

    Essential Qualifications – NQF Level
  • Matric / Grade 12 / National Senior Certificate.

  • Advanced Diplomas / National First Degrees.

    Preferred Certifications
  • RE5 (Regulatory Exam for Representatives).

  • RE1 (Key Individual).

    Minimum Experience Level
  • 5 years leading people in a related financial services industry.

    Technical / Professional Knowledge
  • Financial accounting principles.

  • Regulatory knowledge.

  • Software and systems knowledge.

  • Governance, risk, and controls.

  • Project management principles.

  • Business administration and management.

  • Management information and reporting tools.
