Nedbank Due Diligence Analyst Jobs in South Africa

Job Purpose

Conduct due diligence analysis to assess and report on the status, legitimacy, and reputation of clients, individuals, or companies.

Prevent risks and ensure compliance with Nedbank policies and regulatory requirements.

Job Responsibilities

Apply data management, analytical, and research methodologies to transform information into relevant risk intelligence.

Perform due diligence assessments on individuals and business entities using industry best practices.

Identify adverse or criminal activities and trends through internet and database research.

Conduct financial fitness analysis to assess business entities’ financial health.

Draft reports consolidating analysed information for decision‑making.

Ensure governance and compliance standards are met by recording outcomes on systems.

Report and escalate operational problems to management.

Recommend opportunities to enhance processes, systems, and policies.

Build strong stakeholder relationships through communication and consultation.

Contribute to Nedbank’s culture and transformation goals.

Ensure personal growth through learning activities and certifications.

Manage external service providers within Service Level Agreements.

Essential Qualifications – NQF Level

Matric / Grade 12 / National Senior Certificate.

Advanced Diplomas / National First Degrees.

Preferred Qualifications

Advanced Diplomas / Degrees in Forensic Accounting,

Forensic Investigation, Criminal Justice, BCom Accountancy, or related fields.

Minimum Experience Level

3+ years’ experience in business analysis, risk management, investigation, investigative journalism, or due diligence and financial fitness assessments.

Technical / Professional Knowledge

Data analysis.

Ethics and fraud.

Governance, risk, and controls.

Relevant software and systems knowledge.

Research methodology.

Business writing skills.

Balance sheet analysis.

Regulatory, compliance, and risk legislation.
