NCBA Group Test Automation Engineer Jobs in Kenya; This technical role is responsible for the analysis, design, development, and management (technical support) of automated tests for new and existing software.Requires solid knowledge of software test automation using BDD/TDD frameworks, thorough understanding of SDLC, and focus on automated QA processes in agile environments.
The role demands excellent interpersonal skills, ability to work in agile teams, manage competing priorities, and ensure quality is embedded from requirements definition through to delivery.
Key Accountabilities
Software QA Processes – 40%
Design, analyze, develop, deliver, and continuously improve Systems QA processes.
Software Testing – 30%
Apply knowledge of Software Testing Standards to assist business and product teams in developing solutions that meet business needs.
Governance – 10%
Ensure adherence to internal policies and procedures for application development processes along ITIL and best practice standards.
Support, maintain, and audit service lifecycle artefacts to agreed SLAs.
Stakeholder Management – 10%
Manage relationships and protocols with technical platform owners and internal business stakeholders.
Continuous Improvement – 10%
Advise internal customers on technology improvements to maximize business objectives.
Job Specifications
Academic
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field.
Master’s degree in Technology or Business-related course is an added advantage.
Professional
Certification and experience implementing frameworks such as ITIL, PRINCE2.
Experience writing, executing, and monitoring automated test suites using Cucumber, Concordion, Selenium, Appium, Robotium, SoapUI, JMeter.
Hands-on experience in software development with Java, Kotlin, C++, C#.
Practical experience with RDBMS such as Oracle and MS SQL.
Knowledge of Linux/Unix commands and SQL.
Understanding of SOA lifecycle, integration patterns, and industry standards.
Familiarity with formats and protocols (JMS, SOAP, XML/XPath/XQuery, REST, JSON).
Experience with issue/bug tracking tools (e.g., JIRA).
Use of continuous integration tools (e.g., GitLab CI, Jenkins).
Others
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Knowledge of systems and processes within Financial Services industry.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
