Job Purpose Statement

The role holder is required to achieve customer growth, monitoring and compliance, client satisfaction and retention management for corporate banking division through collaborative account management and delivering reports with the sectors Assistant Relationship Managers and Relationship Managers and other stakeholders in the organisation.

The role shall support the sector by ensuring that all promises made to all stakeholders in the department are fulfilled. The role holder shall coordinate the preparation and compilation of relevant reports with follow-ups for closure

Key Accountabilities (Duties and Responsibilities)

Financial

  • Proactively contributing to the achievement of the portfolio’s annual financial targets to attain
    customer growth and retention:

  • Portfolio compliance; portfolio monitoring and
    covenant tracking, excess, past due accounts
    management (monitoring and set-off) and
    unclaimed financial assets tracking.

  • Portfolio health - Preparing, compiling reports, and spreading of financial statements in (as per agreed format) in liaison with the ARM and
    RM adhering to TAT, deadlines and agreed
    monitoring timelines (daily, weekly, monthly,
    quarterly).

  • Review interest rate report on a monthly basis
    to confirm rates are marked as per approval.

  • Update the DCL in conjunction with Credit
    Operations team to ensure security,
    (compliance documents e.g., insurances,
    annual rates and rent etc) and other approval
    conditions are accurately captured.

  • Follow up with customers to submit required
    documentation.

  • Portfolio health monitoring; Deferrals
    management – maintaining the deferral
    register for sector, excesses set offs, Past Dues,
    UFAA compliance.

  • NPL < 5% through monitoring of excesses and
    PDs in liaison with ARM and RMs in the sector.

    Internal business processes

  • Adhering to approved policies and procedures
    and providing feedback on the same for review as
    appropriate.

  • Audit issues closed within the quarter of
    identification, or within the agreed time frames,
    whichever is shorter.

  • Nil repeat findings on audit concerns

  • In liaison with RM, collection, analysis and
    presentation of market and industry data for
    the sector to support decision making.

  • 100% SLA adherence.

  • Taking of minutes during the team’s
    weekly
    meeting and following up for action.

  • Preparation of sector performance reports and
    presentations for review by Sector Head.

  • Maintain an interim and annual reviews
    register to support the RM and sector heads.

  • Follow-up of review information including
    sending annual, interim review letters and
    following up on return of offer letters and
    security perfection documents to deliver
    drawdowns TAT.

    Customer

  • Driving customer satisfaction, developing, and growing relationships with existing customers, identifying opportunities for business development, and providing insightful feedback on products and solutions that help in the customisation and development of new
    products/solutions.

    Learning and growth

  • Delivering the performance objectives set and
    managing his/her own learning and development
    to build capacity and avail him/herself for
    coaching and training opportunities.

    Job Specifications

    Academic:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field from a recognized accredited university.

    Professional

  • CPA qualification is an advantage

    Desired work experience:

  • At least 1-2 years’ experience in a similar role in a similar sized organisation.

  • Proven track record of consistently achieving a portfolio’s financial growth and analysis (Sales/Business Development/Credit Analysis background) will be an added advantage

  • Experience in products, bank operations and customer experience is highly desirable.

  • Knowledge of the local banking industry, banking products, banking services and banking regulations.

  • Sound working knowledge and understanding of general Commercial Banking regulations and practices
