Job Purpose Statement

LOOP DFS Limited is seeking a Chief Marketing Officer to drive the corporate strategy formulation and execution and market expansion of the ambitious Fintech organisation. Customer experience is also recognised as the biggest brand differentiator — as the brand custodian, the role holder will be accountable for driving a customer-centric culture that causes happy customers to be our greatest marketing team.

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the individual will work with other CXOs and the local CEOs in multiple geographic locations to define, prioritise, and execute a comprehensive marketing strategy for the company, from development to optimization. The role will also ensure alignment and collaboration in achieving the NCBA Group strategic brand objectives.

The successful candidate will be the driving force behind building a customer-centric culture—at all
levels of the organization. As the customer advocate, they’ll be the voice defending the
perspective of the customer at all times.

This individual will also be charged with crafting and delivering messaging and positioning to the
public and industry stakeholders, as the Brand’s expert storyteller. This is a new, full-time role. The ideal candidate will bring thought leadership and creative solutions to a growing and dynamic organization that aspires to belong to multiple cultures, in the rapidly evolving African Fintech landscape.

Customer Satisfaction

Collaborate with the product and operations functions to update customer UX/UI, ensuring new features are being understood and adopted accordingly, support future product innovation and go to market strategy to optimize revenue growth

Develop and implement comprehensive programmes for the company to include brand marketing, product marketing, field marketing, marketing technology, demand generation, digital media, and

educational initiatives.

Provide rigorous data and usage analysis to inform market and brand positioning and guide platform development

Enhance governance and quality of internal processes

Manage the creation and production of inspiring design, content, and campaigns that build the LOOP brand and ensure its consistency across all markets.

Establish an effective customer experience monitoring and control framework and toolset to govern the formulation, development, execution and oversight of customer experience

Manage and curate public relationships for the LOOP brand

Develop and enhance strategic organisational capabilities

Build a 360-degree view of the customer to drive a deeper understanding of customer needs, satisfaction, and their overall experience.

Build and optimize LOOP DFS Limited portfolio of marketing and customer engagement channels including content marketing & SEO, paid advertising, public relations to grow community engagement and feature adoption.

Integrate the customer experience monitoring and control framework to the product design, development and management framework.

Build and optimize a digital community engagement flywheel model to earn engagement and loyalty to the LOOP brand

Ideal Job Specifications

An undergraduate degree

Masters (graduate) level degree in Strategy, Communications, or other Business field

Must-have direct experience in community management and growth

In-depth knowledge of data analysis and marketing analytics tools

15+ years experience in Business Management, with significant engagement with Executive Management for at least 6 years
