Job Purpose Statement

The purpose of the role is to support the Transactional Banking Director with business
analysis, performance measurement and monitoring of the strategy development and implementation status.

To assist Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania TB, Corporate, Retail and Global Markets in data
Analysis, analysis of financial performance, profitability metrics and revenue assurance
across TB products.

To monitor TB department initiatives, market analysis, data collection, business
development support.

To support administrative duties and ad hoc tasks within the TB unit to ensure effective
flow of information with its respective support units.

Key Accountabilities (Duties and Responsibilities)

Business Development Support

Transactional Banking

  • Assist the Business Development team with lead follow up and utilization on all closed deals. This will include re-training clients, follow up on product set-up (e.g. internet banking), track pricing concession agreements.

  • Act as a back-up for Business Development Team who are away from office and assist in handling referrals and customer queries

  • Closed deals follow up for forms completion and delivery to bank, training date planning.

  • The BA will follow up on set up related issues as well as client issues requiring consistent follow up.

  • Track waivers and conditions used to justify and if still valid for renewal

    Data Analysis & Revenue Assurance

  • Obtain and compile requisite data from various sources data for analysis and interpretation to achieve desired Departmental goals / metrics relating to product efficiency, customer satisfaction, performance targets [both financial and operational).

    Follow up on revenue leakage and assurance activities to conclusion. Prepare Departmental Reports as necessary.

  • Reporting and data analysis for the department.

    - Obtain data from varied sources to
    produce reports for monthly business review.

    - Detailed segmented reporting of revenue
    and volumes by; product lines, per ARM & Team, per BDO, per Branch.

    - Regular Tracking Department KPI’s

  • Revenue Assurance & Budget support

    - Ensure correctness of data as captured on
    financial reports.

    - Follow up for closure of issues arising.

    - Work on revenue leakage activities
    identified to conclusion.

    - Track departmental budgets against expenditure and provide monthly and Adhoc reports on the same.

    Trade Finance

  • Prepare the Trade Finance NFI reports,Trade
    Assets reports,Trade off balance sheet reports and
    Funded Income Reports.

    Custodial Business

  • Provide financial and initiative reports for custodial business.

    Market Intelligence

  • Compile data as may be needed to aid in
    decision making by the various units in the
    department. i.e. Channel Development, Product
    Development or Business Development.

  • Market data collection as need arises to be used for reporting and decision making.

    Operations & Admin

  • Assist in the implementation and monitoring of initiatives taken by the department to achieve
    increased operational and performance efficiencies.

  • Maintain an effective and accessible filling
    system for all electronic documents received at
    the department.

  • Minute taking during team meetings.

  • Assist in planning and coordination of
    department activities and events.

  • Issue Management

    - Forward to Contact Centre all customer
    issues/queries received via cash management email that need other department closure of follow up.

    - Track product related complains/feedback from customers for submission to product managers every
    month.

    - Issues that can be closed by CMP resources follow up with respective BDO, PDM or CDM.

    Job Specifications

    Academic

  • University Degree – Second Class Honuors or equivalent.

    Professional

  • Proficiency in computer use including MS Office and other packages.

    Desired Work Experience:

  • At least 3 years working experience.
