PurposeThe Mechanical Technician is responsible for operating, maintaining and improving Mechanical throughout the factory and specifically at utility.
Repair of Mechanical parts of Equipment &, Preventative Maintenance (PM’s) completion, Installation of New/Repaired Equipment, Capital & Major Maintenance Projects execution, will be various duties performed in the role.
Control and supervise maintenance works which are done by contractors.
Main Areas of Responsibility
Monitor and operate machines designed to perform tasks with minimal human intervention and other utilities equipment; Improve equipment efficiency (changing of parameters, suggestion for upgrade, etc.);
Install and maintain utility equipment and machines; Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service; Keep records of repairs and develop or make necessary changes to planned maintenance schedule;
Perform daily, weekly and monthly inspection, perform routine preventative maintenance & Rebuild parts as needed for utilities equipment; Control and order necessary spare parts for repairing;
Maintaining the cleanliness of machineries, utilities equipment and
other factory areas based on responsibility;
Diagnose, troubleshoot and repair utility equipment related problems such as mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems;
Provide emergency unscheduled repairs of Utility equipment as needed;
Control and supervise maintenance works which are done by contractors;
Use a variety of hand and power tools and other tools to complete repairs;
Comply with established working practices, procedures, and safety systems, procedures and regulations;
Perform other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
Education
General Mechanic in Diploma Level 4 & 5 or BSC degree in Mechanical Engineering from recognized University
Experience
3-5 years
Skills
Strong working knowledge of mechanics and repair
Modern, energetic, self-starter, display initiative and proposes pragmatic new ideas / approaches
Scissor lift operation certificate (work at height)
