National Social Security Fund Procurement Data Analyst Jobs in Uganda


Main Purpose

  • The jobholder will be responsible for gathering procurement data, examining and transforming it into useful patterns, correlations, models and trends using statistical techniques to support decision-making.

    Duties and Responsibilities include

  • Captures data from various sources, examines it and prepares tables and visuals to produce procurement reports

  • Identifies, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets

  • Works with managers to prioritize business and information needs

  • Supports initiatives for data integrity and normalization

  • Maintains relevant internal procurement databases and files

  • Identifies and define new process improvement opportunities

  • Assists in market price surveys and generates reports based on the collected data

  • Develops appropriate tools for monitoring internal performance, contracts management and procurement plan.

  • Produce reports on procurement transactions based on MI and E-procurement system.

  • Prepare the solicitation documents, evaluation reports for works, goods and services;

  • Recommend to the Contracts Committee appropriate procurement methods, Evaluation Committee and award decisions.

  • Assists end users in application of E- Procurement system

  • Prepares and maintains procurement records and reports.

  • Maintains an archive of procurement records for future references

    Education Requirements

  • The applicant must have a University in either Mathematics, Statistics or Quantitative Economics from a recognized University.

  • Postgraduate qualification in Procurement is an added advantage.

    Related Job Experience

  • The applicant must have a minimum of one year work experience in procurement function in
    a busy public institution

  • Ability to analyses large datasets

  • Ability to write comprehensive reports

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • An analytical mind and inclination for problem-solving

  • Attention to detail

  • Computer literate able to use of Microsoft office applications (MS Excel, Power BI,STATA, SPSS, MS Word, Power point) and other data analytics applications

  • Excellent communication skills with strong interpersonal skills

  • Innovative and with analytical skills

  • Problem solving skills

  • High level of integrity
