National Quality Control Laboratory (NQCL) Principal Information Communication Technology Officer Jobs in Kenya
Job Summary
Lead the implementation and management of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) systems, infrastructure and services to support efficient business operations and digital transformation initiatives.
Provide technical oversight in systems development, ICT infrastructure management, user support and compliance with organizational ICT standards and policies.
Key Responsibilities
Implement ICT policies, guidelines, procedures and standards.
Install, configure and maintain computer systems and ICT infrastructure.
Develop, update and enhance application systems to meet organizational requirements.
Carry out systems analysis, design and software specification activities in collaboration with users and stakeholders.
Perform repairs and maintenance of ICT equipment and associated peripherals.
Develop hardware specifications for ICT equipment acquisition and deployment.
Verify, validate and certify ICT equipment to ensure compliance with required standards.
Implement computer systems and provide technical support to users.
Conduct user training and capacity-building on ICT systems and applications.
Prepare and maintain technical, system and user documentation.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Communication Technology, Business Information Technology or an equivalent and relevant qualification from a recognized institution.
Relevant ICT certifications such as CCNP, MCSE, CISA, CISSP, PRINCE2 or equivalent qualifications from a recognized institution.
Membership to a relevant professional body where applicable.
Management course lasting not less than four (4) weeks from a recognized institution.
Proficiency in computer applications.
Experience
Minimum
cumulative service period of nine (9) years of relevant work experience.
At least three (3) years of experience at the level of Senior Information Communication Technology Officer or in a comparable position.
