National Police Service Commission Deputy Director ICT Job Vacancies


Responsibilities

  • To formulate and develop organization’s ICT strategies, policies, guidelines and programmes;
  • Coordinate the management of ICT operations including maintenance work, testing and optimization;
  • Manage information and communication technology resources;
  • Lead, manage, motivate and develop the ICT team to meet its expectations;
  • Ensure that ICT systems and procedures promote data and information security and business continuity, in line with best practices and relevant internal and external standards and regulations;
  • Make significant contributions to the strategic direction, management and culture of the whole organization;
  • Work in a collaborative way with other directorates and departments
    to develop the ICT vision and strategy that suits their activities and services delivery;
  • Coordinate the development of measures to ensure security, privacy and integrity of information communication technology systems for continuity of operations;
  • Initiate and oversee information communication technology projects to improve organizational;

    Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in computer science or information systems or its equivalent from a recognized university;
  • Computer hardware Certifications such as A+ 'or' b) Microsoft Systems Certifications such as; MCSA/MCSE/MCDA 'or' c) Network
    and CISCO Certifications such as; N+/CCNA;
  • Attended a Senior management Course lasting not less than four weeks from a recognized institution;
  • Computer literacy & proficiency;
  • Meet the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya;
  • Twelve (12) years of service of which three (3) should be in a comparable position from a reputable organization.

    National Police Service Commission Manager Human Capital Management Job Vacancies

    Responsibilities

  • Ensures implementation of the Human Capital management strategy;
  • Implements the work plans derived from the human capital strategy
  • Monitor and implement the human capital budget;
  • Participate in the development of human capital policies and procedures;
  • Champion the performance of other divisions through the development of enhanced performance management systems and culture that is linked to reward and that is fully integrated with all
    other people, products, and processes;
  • Coordinate human capital initiatives and engagement activities that develop employee career paths through organization development;
  • Monitor key HR metrics to ensure effectiveness of the HR initiatives
    which contributes to the commissions overall performance;
  • Liaise with senior management team to develop staffing plan for efficient, professional recruitment process;

    Qualifications

  • Master in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Strategic Management, Public Administration or any related field
    from a recognized institution;
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, any social sciences field from a recognized university in any of the following fields; HRM, Business Administration, or Public Administration;
  • Higher Diploma in Human Resource Management/Development from a recognized institution;
  • A member of a relevant Human Resource Management professional body;
  • Attended a Senior management Course lasting not less than four weeks from a recognized institution;
  • Computer literacy;
  • Meet the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya;
  • Ten (10) years of service, of which three (3) should be in a comparable position from a reputable organization.

    National Police Service Manager Communication and Outreach Job Vacancies

    Responsibilities

  • Oversee the implementation the institutions communications strategy to provide effective communication of relevant information to internal and external audiences;
  • Provide technical support to the Deputy Director, Communications in the preparation of the department’s operational strategy, policies, work plan and budgets to support the attainment of its mandate;
  • Drive the preparation of National Police Service Commission’s communications plan detailing the target audience and plans for
    reaching them in line with approved strategy;
  • Provide technical support to the Deputy Director in the development of the Commission’s Cooperate Social Responsibility (CSR) plan that
    supports the growth of brand values within the Commission;
  • Develop and deliver a clear and effective system for internal communications including the dissemination of newsletters and other
    documents and publications for internal stakeholders including being able to scale up the delivery of robust communications material;
  • Support program leadership and other program staff in their work, including development of a plan for achieving their priority advocacy objectives in both an emergency and development context.
  • Drive the implementation of National Police Commission’s communication strategy and plan under the direction of the Deputy
    Director;
  • Review articles and write-ups for internal and external publication as well as targeted presentations and speeches as required;

    Qualifications

  • Master Degree in Communications, Public Relations, Advertising or any related field from a recognized institution;
  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations Advertising or any related field from a recognized institution;
  • Attended a senior management Course lasting not less than four weeks from a recognized institution;
  • Computer Literacy;
  • Meet the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya;
  • Ten (10) years of service, of which three (3) should be in a senior comparable position from a reputable organization.

  • Certificate of Good Conduct from DCI
