National Mining Corporation Mining Engineer Jobs in Kenya


Job Description

The Mining Engineer will implement the Division’s mandates by:

  • Preparing and implementing mine plan designs, mine scheduling, waste rock management, and land reclamation plans

  • Managing run‑of‑mine stockpiles

  • Preparing applications for mineral rights and periodical performance reports on mineral rights

  • Preparing reports and instructions for geotechnical operations

  • Implementing mine environmental, safety, and health regulations

    Additionally, the role involves preparing designs and supervising installation of mineral processing plants, implementing mineral processing waste plans, managing mineral product stockpiles, and supervising metallurgical tests.

    Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare applications for mineral rights and submit periodical performance reports

  • Prepare and implement mine plans

  • Prepare reports and instructions for geotechnical operations

  • Prepare and implement mine scheduling

  • Prepare and implement waste rock management plans

  • Manage run‑of‑mine stockpiles

  • Implement mine safety, environment, and health regulations in mining operations

    Requirements for Appointment

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mining, Mineral Processing, Extractive Metallurgy, or Civil Engineering from a recognized institution
