National Mining Corporation Manager - Mineral Exploration Jobs in Kenya

Key Responsibilities

Design and manage diverse field‑based exploration programs

Review research proposals and reports on geological investigation and mineral exploration

Review performance of geological contractors and consultants

Design and execute exploratory drilling, sampling analysis, and 3D ore body modelling to estimate grade and tonnage

Conduct studies to identify growth opportunities and determine viability of mineral prospects for profitable extraction

Ensure compliance with Environmental, Health, and Safety standards including use of personal protective equipment

Provide overall leadership for the Division

Ensure continuous capacity building, coaching, and mentorship of Division staff

Develop growth strategy planning for mines

Evaluate performance and productivity

Perform any other duties as assigned by the CEO

Requirements for Appointment

Master’s degree in Geology, Geophysics, Geochemistry, Environmental Geology, Engineering Geology, Earth Sciences, or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution

Bachelor’s degree in Geology, Geophysics, Geochemistry, Environmental Geology, or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution

At least ten (10) years’ work experience, five (5) of which must be in a management role

Management/Leadership course lasting not less than four (4) weeks from a recognized institution

Registration with the Geologist Registration Board (GRB) and in good standing

Proficiency in computer applications

Fulfilment of the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution
