National Mining Corporation Geologist Jobs in Kenya


Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct field exploration for rocks and mineral deposits of economic value

  • Identify drilling sites

  • Supervise implementation of drilling operations, including core logging and core sampling

  • Conduct geological site investigations

  • Generate and interpret prospect‑level maps (lithological, structural, mineral resource, seismic profiles)

  • Generate additional geological, geochemical, or geophysical data

  • Undertake post‑drilling analysis and evaluation

  • Undertake chemical, mineralogical, or microscopic examinations of exploration samples

  • Compile, interpret, and present exploration data for usage

    Requirements for Appointment

  • Bachelor’s degree in Geology, Geochemistry, Geophysics, Engineering Geology, or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution

  • Registration with the Geologists’ Registration Board (GRB) and in good standing

  • Supervisory course lasting not less than two (2) weeks from a recognized institution
