National Legal Aid Service Principal Accountant Jobs in Kenya
Qualifications
At least nine (9) years cumulative work experience, three (3) of which should have been at the grade of Senior Accountant or in a comparable position.
Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce (Finance/Accounting option), Economics, Business Administration/Management, or equivalent.
Part III of CPA Examination or equivalent.
Member of ICPAK, ACCA, or other relevant professional body.
Certificate in Management Course.
Shown merit and ability as reflected in work performance.
Key Responsibilities
Process payments.
Monitor revenue collection and expenditures.
Apply sound accounting principles for finances, assets, revenue, and costs.
Account for special funds, programmes, and projects.
Verify financial reports and bank reconciliations.
Authorize payments and claims within set limits.
Verify and receipt monies due to NLAS.
Analyse and report on revenue collected.
Ensure safe custody of accountable documents.
Prepare quarterly financial management reports.
Maintain proper books of accounts.
