National Legal Aid Service Driver I Jobs in Kenya



Qualifications

  • At least three (3) years work experience at the grade of Driver II or comparable position.

  • KCSE minimum mean grade D plain.

  • Valid Class BCE driving license free from endorsement.

  • Defensive Driving Certificate.

  • Occupational Trade Test Grade II for drivers.

  • First Aid Certificate (minimum one week).

  • Refresher course for drivers (minimum one week every three years).

  • Shown merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results.

    Key Responsibilities

  • Drive motor vehicles as authorized.

  • Carry out minor mechanical repairs.

  • Recognize and report abnormal vehicle operations.

  • Ensure vehicle security on and off the road.

  • Ensure safety of passengers and goods.

  • Maintain vehicle cleanliness.

  • Conduct routine checks on vehicle systems.

  • Carry out minor repairs including oiling and greasing.

  • Maintain work tickets for assigned vehicles.

    Remuneration

  • NLAS Grade 10: Ksh. 32,932 x 2,030 – 47,148 per month.

    Driver II – NLAS ‘11’ – Five (5) Posts – Job Reference No. NLAS/D11/11/5/2026/30

    Qualifications

  • Detect and report malfunctioning of vehicle systems.

  • Carry out minor repairs including oiling and greasing.

  • Maintain work tickets for assigned vehicles.

  • Ensure vehicle security on and off the road.

  • Ensure safety of passengers and goods.

  • Maintain vehicle cleanliness.
