National Legal Aid Service Deputy Director - Supply Chain Management Jobs in Kenya



Qualifications

  • At least fifteen (15) years’ cumulative work experience, three (3) at Assistant Director SCM level.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Commerce (Supplies option), Procurement & Logistics, or equivalent.

  • Master’s Degree in Logistics & Supply Chain Management, Business Administration (Purchasing & Supplies), or equivalent.

  • Membership to KISM, CIPS, or relevant professional body.

  • Certificate in Leadership Course.

  • Demonstrated merit and ability.

    Key Responsibilities

  • Interpret and enforce relevant procurement laws and statutes.

  • Ensure integrity and high professional standards in SCM.

  • Integrate e‑procurement in operations.

  • Implement procurement risk management strategies.

  • Monitor and evaluate SCM systems.

  • Maintain database of approved suppliers and research alternatives.

  • Authorize disposal of inventory and assets.

  • Oversee tender, procurement, inspection, and disposal committees.

  • Improve supplier performance in delivery and quality.

  • Prepare statutory reports to PPOA.

  • Approve procurement documents.

  • Present bid awards to the Board.

  • Compile procurement budgets.

  • Implement performance improvement and capacity building strategies.
