National Industrial Training Authority Chief Accountant Jobs in Kenya


Introduction

National Industrial Training Authority (NITA) is a State Corporation established under the Industrial Training (Amendment) Act of 2011. The mandate of the Authority is to promote the highest standards in the quality and efficiency of industrial training in Kenya and ensure an adequate supply of properly trained manpower at all levels in the industry.

Responsibilities

  • Managing, updating and reviewing subsidiary ledgers and reconciling them to the general ledger;
  • Ensuring supplier and customer accounts are reconciled on monthly basis;
  • Ensuring proper Management of cash through implementation of controls;
  • Reviewing bank reconciliations on weekly basis;
  • Ensuring tax compliance in all operations;
  • Preparing annual statutory accounts and manage statutory audits as well as implement the agreed upon internal audit recommendations;
  • Analyzing customer credit data and financial statements to determine the degree of risks involved;
  • Maintaining book of debtors, debt accounts and monitor payments and update records and periodically reconcile their accounts;
  • Reviewing individual or commercial customer files to identify and select delinquent accounts for collection and advising Management on creditors that need to be written off as bad debts and or deal with liquidators and collection agencies;
  • Evaluating customer records and recommend payment plans based on earnings, savings data, payment history and purchase activity

    Qualifications

  • Have a Master’s degree in either MBA-Finance or Accounting option, MSc. Finance or Accounting option or any other related field from a recognized institution;
  • Have a Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce, or Business Management specializing in Finance or Accounting or any other related field from a recognized institution;
  • Have attained full accounting qualifications (CPA (final),ACCA) or equivalent qualification;
  • Have at least seven (7) years’ relevant work experience;
  • Have attended a Senior Management Course lasting not less than four (4) weeks from a recognized Institution;
  • Have attended a Senior Financial Management course lasting at least four (4) weeks from a recognized Institution;
  • Be proficient in Financial management based computer application skills;
  • Be a registered member of ICPAK in good standing;
  • Meet the requirements of Chapter Six (6) of the Constitution of Kenya on Leadership and Integrity

    National Industrial Training Authority Accountant II Jobs in Kenya

    Responsibilities

  • Day-to-day operation in the accounting unit;
  • Dealing with all accounting procedures and routine matters effectively;
  • Performing basic range of Management accounting
  • Assisting in preparation of final accounts and statements;
  • Collecting and compiling data for budgeting purposes;
  • General supervision of accounts staff including their training and development.

    Qualifications

  • Have a Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce, or Business Management specializing in Finance or Accounting or any other related field from a recognized institution;
  • Have attained full accounting qualifications (CPA (final),ACCA) or equivalent qualification;
  • Have at least three (3) years’work experience;
  • Be proficient in Financial management based computer application skills;
  • Have demonstrated a high degree in work ethics and competencies.

    National Industrial Training Authority Industrial Training Officer III Jobs in Kenya

    Responsibilities

  • Establishing capacity for employers to train the apprentice/indentured learner
  • Developing of training plans
  • Implementing of the training plans
  • Preparing of assessment tools and materials
  • Setting and marking of examinations, guiding and assessing trainees in their course work;
  • Carrying out inspections if gazetted as
    inspectors
  • Sensitizing employers on NITA functions
  • Preparing and organizing of training materials;
  • Preparing work plans and budgets;
  • Maintaining training equipment in desired conditions;
  • Researching and advising Industry on training matters.

    Qualifications

  • Be a holder of Diploma in mechanical, electrical/electronics, computer science, information communication technology, automotive, building and construction, refrigeration and air conditioning, P.V. solar installation, textile, fashion & design from a recognized institution;
  • Be in possession of a relevant competence certificate;
  • Be in possession of instructor’s training course of not less than 4 weeks from a recognized institution;
  • Have experience of not less than two (2) years in the industry;

    Responsibilities

  • Coordinating, and controlling of the functions and operations in the Human Resource Division;
  • Implementing Human Resource Policies, Rules, Standards and Procedures governing terms and conditions of service;
  • Advising on administration of the Career Progression Guidelines and Progressions;
  • Managing and updating of Personnel data Systems including a Human Resource Information Management System
  • Employee relations, remuneration and staff welfare;
  • Drafting Human Resource agenda for the Board.
  • Ensuring cascading of the Board’s target to all Human Resources Units

    Qualifications

  • Have a Master’s degree in Social Sciences;
  • Have a Bachelor’s Degree in any Social Sciences.
  • Have CPS Final/CHRP/Post Graduate Diploma in Human Resource Management;
  • Have at least seven (7) years’ relevant work experience;
  • Be member of IHRM;
  • Be proficient in Human Resource based computer application skills;

    National Industrial Training Authority Chief Administration Officer (Grade 11) Jobs in Kenya

    Responsibilities

  • Supporting management of outsourced services on security and cleaning;
  • Ensuring proper maintenance of grounds;
  • Controlling of utility usage;
  • Ensuring timely payment of all utility bills;
  • Advising on deployment of Administrative officers;
  • Coordinating of transport, motor maintenance and cleanliness;
  • Maintenance of all meeting schedules for appropriate allocation of board rooms and conference rooms.
  • Maintaining custody of all office and vehicle keys.
  • Co-ordination of general administrative duties, supervision and guidance of staff working under him/her.

    Qualifications

  • Have a Master’s Degree in Social Science or any other equivalent qualifications from a recognized institution;
  • Have a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Science or any other equivalent qualifications from a recognized institution;
  • Have CPS final or equivalent qualifications from a recognized Institution;
  • Be Proficient in computer applications;
  • Have attended a senior management course of not less than four (4) weeks from a recognized institution.
  • Have at least Seven (7) years’ relevant work experience.
  • Be a member of either ICPS or KIM professional body.
