  • Our client, The National Fund for the Disabled of Kenya is an endowment Fund established under the Perpetual Succession Act Cap 164 of the Laws of Kenya. The Fund's mission is to offer best support to persons with disabilities in Kenya through provision of resources, promotion of awareness and advocacy of appropriate policies.

    Responsibilities

  • Expected to ensure that the donations programs are effectively carried out, in liaison with the Programmes Manager
  • Expected to maintain excellent public relations with persons with disability
  • Expected to keep abreast with what is happening in the disabled fraternity
  • Ready to work long hours and to travel extensively

    Qualifications

  • A degree holder in Social Sciences
  • Diploma in Counseling is an added advantage
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Wide experience in interviewing and counseling
  • A good background in Statistics
  • Good report writing skills
  • Good social skills with a positive approach to people
  • Amiable personality
  • Must be a creative, self-motivated, forward thinker
  • Results oriented
  • Fluent in English and Kiswahili

    National Fund for the Disabled Assistant Property Manager Jobs in Kenya

    Responsibilities

  • Overall management and coordination of the Properties Management Department
  • Undertake marketing of the vacant spaces in the premises and identifying suitable tenants
  • Management of buildings and development of management systems and reporting thereon to the Properties Committee
  • Monitoring, supervision and coordination of services provided in the Fund’s buildings
  • Identification and supervision of renovations and major alterations in consultation with the Chief Executive Officer
  • Custody and administration of tenants’ leases and connected litigation documents
  • Monitoring settlement of invoices for utilities and prompt collection of rents and other dues from tenants
  • Identifying training needs of staff in the department and facilitating training in identified areas for enhancement of staff capability
  • Any other duties assigned by the Chief Executive Officer

    Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Arts in Land Economics or Real Estate Management
  • Master of Arts degree in Valuation and Real Estate Management will be an added advantage
  • Member of the Institute of Surveyors of Kenya
    4 years’ experience as a Valuer or
    Estate Agent with bias for Management of Commercial Buildings and Shopping Complexes
  • Knowledge of security systems and fire prevention requirements
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
    Amiable personality
  • Tolerance and ability to cope with people of differing opinions and personalities
  • Must be a creative, self-motivated, forward thinker
  • A quick reactor to emergency situations
  • Results oriented

    National Fund for the Disabled Chief Executive Officer Jobs in Kenya

    Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the Board of Trustees for the implementation of the Board’s policies
  • Coordination of the Board and Management for development of policies and long term strategies and their implementation
  • Responsible for the day-to-day administration and management of the Fund
  • Secretary to the Board of Trustees
    Chairs the senior management team
  • Ensuring that the Heads of Sections perform as expected
  • Ensuring sound financial, human resources and assets management
  • Recruitment, development and discipline of all staff of the Fund
  • Any other duties, which may be assigned by the Board of Trustees

    Qualifications

  • Applicants should be University Degree holders
  • Have qualifications in CPA/CPS III
  • A Master’s Degree in Management or related area will be an added advantage
  • Minimum of seven (7) years’ experience at senior management level
  • Good working knowledge of organizational development and management
  • Computer literacy
  • Applicants should also be below 55 years of age.
  • Must be self-motivated, a creative forward thinker and result oriented leader
  • Must be tolerant and mature, with good inter-personal relationship skills
  • Must be honest person of impeccable integrity
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Amiable personality
  • Fluent in English and Swahili
