Job ResponsibilitiesResponsibilityFacilitating Environmental Education
Enhancing public awareness and Information on environmental issues
Mobilizing the public to participate in environmental conservation and management
Coordinating Development of Environmental Content for publicity materials
Collation and dissemination of environmental information
Publication of Articles
Establishment of National Information and Documentation Centres
Promoting Best Environmental practices
Coordinating establishment and operationalization of Demonstration Centres
Spearheading preparation and participation of the Authority in selected international and national environmental days and events
Promoting partnerships with relevant stakeholders in environmental management and conservation
Coordinating environmentaql education awareness programmes
Coordinating curriculum development on environmental matters for capacity building
Monitoring and evaluation of Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) programmes
Enhancing compliance promotion in industry
Promoting natural resource management
Implementing environmental Award schemes
Enhancing capacity of Ministries, Departments, Agencies and Counties on environmental sustainability
Enhancing capacity of NEMA staff and lead agencies on Basic Enforcement Course (BEC)/Principles of compliance and enforcement
Managing environmental information and demonstration centers
Coordinating academic visits by the public to enhance environmental management

Coordinating implementation of relevant Multilateral Environmental Agreements (MEAs)
Job Requirements
Qualification
Bachelor's Degree in any of the following fields; Environmental Education, Environmental Sciences; Education, Natural Resources Management; Sociology, Community Development, or
any other relevant qualifications from a recognized institution;
Masters Degree in any of the following field: Env. Education, Env. Law. Env. Policy; Education; Env. Education, Env. Sciences; Natural Resources Management; Sociology, Community Development,development studies or any other relevant qualification
Leadership course lasting not less than four (4) weeks from a recognized institution
Proficiency in computer applications
A minimum period of ten (10) years relevant work experience in environmental field and at least four (4) years in management role in the Public Service or Private Sector
Fulfilled the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution
Good communication skills
Shown merit and ability as reflected in the work performance and results
Planning & Coordination skills
