National Curriculum Development Centre Assistant Curriculum Specialists: (CD 6) Pedagogy and Innovations Jobs in Uganda


Job Purpose:

  • To offer support in the curriculum
    development process in the respective subject
    area.

    Duties and responsibilities:

  • Initiate ideas on curriculum reforms.

  • Support the specialist to prepare subject curriculum materials.

  • Write, coordinate and edit curriculum materials developed by panels before submission to senior specialist.

  • Participate in the evaluation of curriculum and related materials.

  • In liaison with the Head of Department, develop the agenda and act as a Minute secretary to departmental meetings.

  • Undertake any other duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.

    Person Specifications:

  • An Honour’s Degree in Education with a bias in the related subject or Honours Degree with a qualification in Education.

    Work Experience

  • At least three (3) years teaching experience in the subject of speciality or as a curriculum developer.

  • Age limit: 25-40 years

  • Ability to meet deadlines under minimum supervision.

  • Letter expressing interest in the job;

  • A detailed and up-to-date curriculum vitae signed and dated by the applicant;

  • Copies of all academic Qualifications;

  • Copies of letters of relevant appointments;

  • Copies of the applicant’s National Identity card or Bio-data pages of the passport.

  • Name and address of three (3) referees who should be advised to send their reference letters under confidential cover to the Secretary, NCDC Governing Council.

  • Sealed applicants with the position applied for and the applicant’s names indicated on the top right corner of the envelope should be addressed and submitted to:
