National Bank Senior Manager (Cash Management) Jobs in Kenya


Position Scope:

  • The Role holder is responsible for championing sales and utilization of Cash Management and Electronic Banking solutions of the Bank.

  • He/she will coordinate sales initiatives with Relationship Managers, Branch Teams and other sales teams of the Bank while at the same time supporting the Cash Management Service Team to offer exceptional customer service to customers.

    Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with client relationship teams and internal business partners to provide the best customer experience to boost utilization of Cash Management Products and solutions covering payments and collections

  • Become the Customers trusted advisor for the delivery of Electronic Banking and Cash Management Solutions

  • Drive and deliver exceptional sales performance by identifying and meeting customer needs through selling and cross-selling of specific Cash Management Products and Services.

  • Manage and utilize resources to achieve qualitative and quantitative targets

  • Develop and prepare standard proposals and presentations for banking services that will be pitched to potential clients.

  • Collaborate with Corporate and Retail Banking Relationship teams for penetration and enhanced utilization of Cash Management products and services in new and existing key client portfolios.

  • Prepare and submit weekly, monthly and quarterly administration and performance reports.

  • Provide leadership to sales team in all work related aspects and ensure smooth flow of communication.

  • Motivate the team and drive projects through to completion resulting in consistently high performance and achievement

  • Set goals and standards for subordinates

  • Evaluate and manage direct subordinates in a fair and consistent manner to achieve high standards of competence, motivation and service orientation

  • Attend to succession planning, in line with the Bank’s polices

    Skills & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field

  • Professional qualifications (CPA, ACCA, AKIB) will be an added advantage.

  • Post graduate and or Banking qualifications will be an added advantage

  • Professional qualification in sales / marketing will be an added advantage.

  • Any
    other relevant insurance qualification and/or membership from Insurance Institute of Kenya (IIK) or associate Chartered Insurance Institute (ACII) will be an added advantage.

  • 6-8 years’ relevant experience (in well-established organizations) in corporate banking, banking operations, customer service, with at least 4 years’ in head of department to senior management positions relevant to Cash management and/or Transactional Banking within Corporate Banking.

  • Track record of attaining targets of business growth and profitability in the financial services and banking sector.

  • Have appreciation and operating knowledge of the banking industry, market, trends as well as challenges.

  • Demonstrable cross-cultural, people and relationship management skills, networking and negotiation skills, team motivation and leadership competence.

  • Sound understanding of statutory and regulatory requirements of corporate governance, business and banking operations.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.

  • High degree of interpersonal skills when dealing with a range of people and situations.

  • Good understanding Bank’s lending principles, policies and procedures.
