Duties and Responsibilities

This is the entry and training grade into this cadre. An officer at this level will work under the guidance of a senior officer. Duties and responsibilities entail:

Preparing cost estimates, bills of quantities, monthly valuations on site, site re-measurements; and

Preparing variation orders.

Requirement for Appointment

For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have:-

Bachelor’s degree in any of the following disciplines:- Building Economics, Quantity
Surveying or its equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;

Certificate in computer application skills;and

Been registered as a Graduate member of either the Architectural Association of Kenya or
the Institute of Quantity Surveyors of Kenya.
