DescriptionNampya Farmers Market is a food distribution and logistics company that requires the expertise and experience of a COO (Chief Operating Officer).
We’re looking for a COO with staffing or HR experience who has a desire to become instrumental in the expansion and growth into the retail and wholesale food sector.
Joining a C-level team of experienced professionals with plans to cause rigorous expansion, the needed candidate should have served as an operations manager in the past and you’re interested in pursuing a new challenge, we’d like to talk to you.
Your role will be to maintain control of company’s diverse business operations.
You must be an experienced and efficient leader charged with securing the functionality of our business to drive extensive and sustainable growth.
Responsibilities and duties
Reporting to the CEO, the COO shall
Develop and integrate staffing programs designed to attract the highest caliber of talent while satisfying the needs of our clients
Collaborate with CEO on five- and ten-year plans for corporate growth and evolution
Assist the CFO with financial projections and analyses of existing programs and policies
Manage support staff and train them in the latest business codes and technical skills so they can better serve our clients.
Helm budgeting and resource allocation efforts alongside the other C-level executives and the senior management team
Ensure all initiatives align with the company’s core values and culture
Provide leadership to those
under your command so that they might take more initiative in their roles
Requirements
The needed candidate should possess the following
A degree in Business Administration
An MBA is an added advantage.
Competence in international business is an added advantage
Strong competence in business development is a preliquisite
You’ll need to have
planning and organization skills to be able run and monitor processes
the ability to act decisively and solve staff or equipment-related problems
the capacity to grasp concepts easily
ICT literacy to deal with various technologies and programmes
attention to detail to ensure high levels of quality
the ability to communicate clearly and persuasively with your team
strong negotiation skills for getting work done within budget at the right time
the ability to work under pressure and motivate others to meet deadlines
the ability to work in a logical and systematic manner.
