Nakuru County Principal Agricultural Officer Jobs in Kenya

Requirements for Appointment

Have served in the grade of Chief Agricultural Officer (CAO) for a minimum of three (3) years;

Have a Bachelor of Science (BSc) Degree in any of the following fields; Food Science, Agriculture, Horticulture, Agriculture Economics, Natural Resource Management, Agribusiness, Agriculture Extension, Agriculture Education, or any other relevant and equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;

A Certificate in Senior Management Course lasting not less than four (4) weeks or its’ equivalent from a recognized institution;

Be proficient in computer applications;

Have demonstrated a high degree of professional and technical competence; and

Shown merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results.

Duties and Responsibilities

Gender and Home Management;

Land Development and Environment Management;

Crop Development;

Projects Monitoring and Evaluation;

Extension, Research Liaison Training, or Promotion and Development of Agribusiness activities.
