Nairobi Metropolitan Services Ambulance Driver Jobs in Kenya

Requirements for Appointment

For appointment to this grade a candidate must have:

Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) mean grade D Plain or its approved equivalent;

Valid driving license free from any current endorsement(s);

Three (3) years driving experience as an ambulance Driver;

Attended a first aid certificate course lasting not less than one (1) week at St Johns Ambulance or Kenya Institute of
Highways and Building Technology (KIHBIT);

A valid certificate of good conduct from Kenya Police;

Demonstrate outstanding professional competence and integrity in work performance and results.

Duties and responsibilities at this level will entail:

Driving ambulance vehicle as authorized;

Carrying out routine checks on vehicle cooling system, oil, electrical and brake system, tyre pressure etc.;

Detecting and reporting malfunction of vehicle system;

Maintenance of work tickets for the assigned vehicle;

Ensuring security and safety of vehicle on and off the road and;

Ensuring safety of passengers, patients and medical equipment therein;

Maintaining cleanliness of the vehicle
