Nairobi Metropolitan Area Transport Authority Deputy Director - Infrastructure Development Jobs in Kenya; Responsible to Head of Directorate for design, development and maintenance of public transport infrastructure within the Nairobi Metropolitan Area (NMA).

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Coordinate development and implementation of MRTS and NMT policies, strategies and guidelines.

  • Oversee development and maintenance of MRTS and NMT infrastructure.

  • Ensure integration of MRTS and NMT services with other public transport modes.

  • Liaise with implementing entities to ensure quality and timely delivery.

  • Oversee priority programmes and projects through timelines, budgets and resources.

  • Prepare periodic programmes and project reports.

  • Identify priority areas for funding and coordinate proposals.

  • Oversee contracts and tender specifications.

  • Partner with finance agencies for resource mobilization.

  • Oversee integration of public transport and land use planning.

  • Oversee design and maintenance of MRTS stations, depots and associated infrastructure.

    Person Specifications

  • Minimum 10 years’ relevant experience, 3 in supervisory role.

  • Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Project/Construction Management.

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field.

  • Management course (≥4 weeks).

  • Membership/registration with professional body.

  • Proficiency in computer applications.
