Nairobi Metropolitan Area Transport Authority Assistant Director - Supply Chain Management Jobs in Kenya; Responsible to Deputy Director for implementing efficient systems of acquisition of goods, works and services, and disposal of assets.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide input into annual procurement and disposal plans.

  • Implement procurement and disposal plans.

  • Coordinate procurement and disposal activities.

  • Prepare contract documents.

  • Liaise with user departments for contract implementation.

  • Provide secretariat to procurement committees.

  • Oversee stocktaking exercises.

  • Coordinate disposal of assets.

  • Prepare statutory reports to PPRA.

    Person Specifications
  • Minimum 8 years’ relevant experience, 3 in supervisory role.

  • Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics or equivalent.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Purchasing, Logistics, Business Administration, Commerce or Economics.

  • Leadership course (≥4 weeks).

  • Member of Kenya Institute of Supplies Management (KISM) or Chartered Institute of Supplies (CIPS).

  • Proficiency in computer applications.
