Nairobi Metropolitan Area Transport Authority Assistant Director - Infrastructure Development Jobs in Kenya; Responsible to Deputy Director for design, development and maintenance of public transport infrastructure within NMA.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Coordinate MRTS and NMT policy development and implementation.

  • Oversee infrastructure development and maintenance.

  • Ensure integration with other transport modes.

  • Liaise with implementing entities for quality and timely delivery.

  • Monitor programmes and projects through timelines and budgets.

  • Prepare periodic reports.

  • Identify priority areas for funding and prepare proposals.

  • Prepare tender specifications and documents.

  • Coordinate corporate resource mobilization.

  • Prepare policies and analytic briefs.

  • Organize integration of public transport and land use planning.

  • Liaise with finance agencies for resource mobilization.

  • Collect socio‑economic and environmental data.

    Person Specifications

  • Minimum 8 years’ relevant experience, 3 in supervisory role.

  • Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Project/Construction Management.

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field.

  • Management course (≥4 weeks).

  • Membership/registration with professional body.

  • Proficiency in computer applications.
