Nairobi Hospital Human Resource Officer Jobs in Kenya; To provide strategic and operational HR support to assigned divisions by partnering with leaders and employees to deliver workforce planning, talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, learning and development, HR analytics, employee experience, and compliant HR operations in line with hospital policies, Kenyan labour laws, and the Strategic Plan (2025–2029).
Key Responsibilities
Serve as a trusted HR partner, translating business priorities into practical people plans.
Partner with managers on workforce planning, succession, role design, and resourcing forecasts.
Coordinate recruitment, selection, onboarding, mobility, and separation processes.
Support performance management including goal setting, coaching, appraisals, and reporting.
Advise managers and employees on employee relations, grievances, conflict resolution, and compliance.
Coordinate learning and development initiatives, monitor completion, and evaluate effectiveness.
Drive employee engagement, wellness, inclusion, and culture‑building initiatives.
Analyse HR data and prepare reports on headcount, turnover, absenteeism, leave, and staff costs.
Maintain accurate HRIS data, contracts, licences, and compliance records.
Monitor leave, attendance, probation, contract renewals, confirmations, and promotions.
Support organisational change initiatives with communication and transition plans.
Ensure compliance with labour laws, CBAs, regulatory requirements, and HR policies.
Continuously review HR processes, service standards, and digital tools for efficiency.
Supervise and coach HR support staff, ensuring accountability and professionalism.
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in HR Management, Business Administration, Social Sciences, Psychology, or related field.
Certified Human Resource Professional (CHRP‑K) or equivalent HR certification.
Active IHRM membership in good standing.
Minimum 5 years’ progressive HR generalist/business partner experience,
with 2 years in a supervisory/advisory role.
Experience in employee relations, recruitment, performance management, HR reporting, L&D coordination, and HR policy implementation.
Proficiency in HRIS, dashboards, Microsoft Office, and digital collaboration tools.
Core Competencies
Strong knowledge of HR practices, employee experience, talent management, and employee relations.
Sound understanding of Kenyan labour laws, CBAs, OSH requirements, and HR compliance.
Ability to interpret HR metrics, identify workforce trends, and recommend solutions.
Strong advisory, coaching, facilitation, conflict resolution, and negotiation skills.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.
High integrity, confidentiality, professionalism, and emotional intelligence.
Analytical, problem‑solving, creative thinking, and execution skills.
Digital literacy and ability to leverage HR systems and collaboration tools.
Change management capability and knowledge of hospital operations (advantageous).
