Nairobi Hospital Human Resource Assistant Jobs in Kenya;To provide administrative support to the HR function in order to facilitate achievement of departmental objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Support implementation of HR initiatives within assigned business units.
Coordinate employee lifecycle processes including recruitment, onboarding, transfers, confirmations, and separations.
Schedule interviews, prepare employment documentation, and maintain recruitment trackers.
Maintain accurate employee records, organization charts, and staff movement data in HRIS.
Provide first‑level support on routine HR policies and queries, escalating complex matters.
Support employee relations processes including disciplinary, grievance, and absenteeism cases.
Monitor timelines for probation reviews, contract renewals, leave balances, and performance activities.
Assist in coordinating performance management processes and documentation.
Support learning and development activities including training logistics and compliance monitoring.
Prepare routine HR reports (headcount, turnover, leave utilization, overtime, staff movements).
Support payroll processing by preparing and validating monthly HR inputs.
Maintain trackers for professional licenses, certifications, and compliance requirements.
Support implementation of HR policies, procedures, and engagement initiatives.
Liaise with managers to follow up on HR action items.
Assist in preparation of presentations, reports, and documentation for HR reviews.
Maintain confidentiality of employee information and handle sensitive documentation professionally.
Coordinate end‑to‑end source verification processes and background checks.
Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor.
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in HR Management, Social Sciences,
Business Administration, or related field.
Active registered member of the Institute of Human Resource Management (IHRM).
Minimum 2 years’ experience in a busy HR department.
Core Competencies
Knowledge of current HR practices and approaches.
Broad knowledge of organization development, compensation, talent management, and employee relations.
Knowledge of Kenyan labour laws.
Knowledge of hospital management processes (advantageous).

Persuasion, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Leadership and people management skills.
Ability to manage multiple stakeholders effectively.
Strong execution skills.
